Q：When connected to a PC, the scanner stops working when the CAPS lock on the keyboard is active.

  • Please upgrade the cradle to the latest firmware.

Q：How do I reconnect Bluetooth to PC without entering a password everytime?


  • Please follow these steps: 
    1. Pair the scanner with PC and make sure the connection is good. 
    2. Scan "Set PIN code (SPP Master only)" and "Save setting to confirm." 
    3. Scan "Encryption disable." 
    4. Restart the PC. The LED on the scanner should now flash slowly. 
    5. Scan "Required Pair with slave (SPP). The LED on the scanner should flash quickly for 3 seconds and slow down again. 
    6. Scanner should now be linked to the PC without the need for a password.
Q：What is the difference between "Standard batch mode" and "Cadle contact batch mode"?

  • In "Standard batch mode" the data is transmitted when the "Send batch data by scanning this label" barcode is scanned. In "Cradle contact batch mode", data is transmitted when the scanner is placed on the cradle.

Q：Do I need to clear data stored on the scanner by scanning the "Delete batch data" label?

  • The "Delete batch data" label is subsidiary to the label "Clear batch data by scanning 'Delete batch data' label" and since the default setting is "Clear batch data after send", it is not necessary to scan "Delete batch data" label to clear the data.

Q：I want to disable the blue LED on the scanner.

  • Please refer to the Programming Guide to disable the blue LED.

Q：The scanner stops working when the CAPs Lock key is active.


  • Please upgade the cradle firmware to the latest version.
Q：I can not charge the battery on cradle.


  • Please make sure the battery is properly installed. If probelm persists, please return the unit for repair.
Q：Does Z-3051BT work on MAC OS?


  • Yes Z-3051BT with the latest firmware supports MAC OS.
Q：I am having trouble pairing the scanner with the cradle.


  • Please follow the steps in the User's Manual to re-pair the cradle when it fails.
