．Sign-up and login to our technical download section to download the latest OS by choosing the corresponding model.
．Once downloaded, unzip the file and place them in the memory card. 
．Insert the memory card into the device and go to My Device >> Memory Card >> the folder which contains the firmware >>
launch the uFlash.exe utility.
．Specified the location of the firmware file by clicking on browse. Once selected, click Start To Update to initiate the OS
upgrade process. Caution! Make sure the terminal is connected to power source (either via cable or cradle) before clicking
on the Start To Update button, otherwise the process will not start.

．Wait as OS update utility perform the upgrade.
．After all the memory blocks have been updated, perform a cold-reset to complete the process.

Try to perform a screen calibration.
．At home screen, click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. 
．Scroll down until you see Stylus. Select -> Calibration, then click on Recalibrate. 
．Follow the on screen instruction to perform the recalibration. 
．Once completed, check and make sure the sensitivity / accuracy have improved. 

Yes! For most ZEBEX WindowsCE terminals, you can backup currently settings to build-in flash/memory card storage. All the system settings, application will be retain during the backup process. When needed, they can be easily restored back to ZEBEX terminal to its original stage.

To enable/disable barcode scanner on ZEBEX terminals, go to Start -> Programs -> PowerPack ->Scan Manager. Alternatively, you can also double click on the program shortcut icon located on the taskbar from the desktop.

You need to go into the Scan Manager to fine-tune the barcode settings. Go to Start -> Programs -> PowerPack -> Scan Manager. Click on the Setting button to fine-tune the barcode decoding parameters. Makes sure to enable the decoding of the barcode type which you are working with.

A reset of any kind is usually the last resort of long troubleshooting process. A warm reset is generally performed first to retain all the personal settings / data. If warm reset fail to solve the issue, a cold reset might be the last option. A warm reset will simply "restart" the device while leaving all personal data / settings untouched, a cold reset will WIPE the device clean and a fresh copy OS will be installed . Please advise all personal data / settings will be LOST after a cold reset. Remember to backup your device settings so you can restore it after a cold reset.
