The end user is a motorway service provider in Asia. It has around 400 service stations offering food, beverage, shopping, petrol filling, washroom, etc., to millions of people 365 days a year.

When it saw travelers' need of clean toilet facilities, it designed a system of perfect hygiene and genius access control.

At the entrance of the toilet facility has a payment machine with ZEBEX Z-5130 CCD scan module embedded. When a user puts in required fee, in return the machine would give a voucher with barcode. On removal of the voucher the turnstile will be activated and let the user enter the toilet facilities.

Users are encouraged to keep the voucher and redeem it later in the partner stores such as convenience stores and petrol stations. For users it's an incentive to buy and 70% of them actually redeem the voucher ─ this increase turnover at the stores.

It is fair to say that the hygienic modern toilet facilities virtually increase the use of other services provided by the motorway stations. The design is such a success that more than 300 systems have been installed within 5 years.

In the beginning the customer used a scan module of an international brand. Later it tested Z-5130 and was amazed by its price and performance ratio.
