Without a doubt, 2011 was a year of iPad. We are currently in the middle of a mobile device revolution. iOS devices (including iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch) became one of the most dominant mobile platform on the market. As of today, there are well over 50, 000 iOS apps on the App Store; user can find an app for just about any professional field, including ID automation. With their mobility and ease of use, iOS devices make a perfect tool for inventory management. Besides the traditional inventory management software that runs on PC, there are more and more inventory management apps on the App Store. Don't get me wrong, these apps are full-feature, powerful software that is ready to work right after download. With little or almost no training, anybody can start using the management app with ease. 

Connects to iOS devices via Bluetooth Class 1 for extreme operational range, ZEBEX Z-1170BT V2 is the ideal personal data collector for inventory management. Once scanned, data are being transmitted over the air to iPad or iPhone in real-time. Class 1 Bluetooth standard ensure an excellent working range of up to 100 meters. Bluetooth pairing between Z-1170BT V2 and iOS device is also extremely easy. Just like any other Bluetooth devices, user can start using the Z-1170BT V2 once the 4-digit pairing pin code has been entered. Once paired, simply switch on the data collector and you can start scanning to iOS deivce immediately. 

iOS device can be carry on the mobile workforce, or left in the vehicle (such as forklift) when scanning for barcodes in the warehouse. The inventory management app will record the lot location, quantity, item description, and unit price (if applicable) automatically. Because the data are transmitted in real-time via Bluetooth connection, valuable on-board memory can be free up for buffer storage if user should roam outside of Bluetooth connection coverage. 

Once outside of Bluetooth coverage, user will enter "offline mode" automatically. During offline mode, scanned data will be stored in the on-board memory. When user re-enter the Bluetooth signal coverage, all the data stored in buffer memory will be uploaded back to iOS device automatically. ZEBEX Z-1170BT V2 provides a streamline, fool-proof operation for continuous workflow to increase productivity. Virtual keyboard can also be toggled by pressing the "Down arrow" key while remain Bluetooth connection for greater input flexibility.

While data is transfer to iOS deivce via Bluetooth connection from Z-1170BT V2, iPad can remian WiFi connected to wireless access point. Scanned data can then be transfer to various Internet service for the ultimate "cloud solution".
